Documents you need
Country-specific preliminary checklist. Extra evidence may be requested depending on passport, residency, purpose and travel history.
- Passport valid at least six months from arrival.
- Accurate passport details and full applicant/travel information.
- Return or onward ticket and travel dates.
- Hotel, host address or details of the stay.
- Evidence of enough funds for the visit and return journey if requested.
- Transit passengers: onward flight itinerary and onward entry documentation when needed.
Important travel conditions
- Under the 2026 fee-waiver scheme, Pakistani tourist ETA government fees are waived for a 30-day tourist visit; Tourazia service fees are TBD.
- Short-stay travel requirements can be revised, so the exact ETA category is reconfirmed before application.
- Transit authorisation is not automatically equivalent to a full tourist visit.

Questions before you apply
Is the Sri Lankan tourist ETA free for Pakistanis?
As of 25 May 2026, Sri Lanka lists Pakistani nationals among those receiving a free 30-day tourist ETA. Tourazia’s service fee, if charged, is separate.
Can I enter twice on the tourist ETA?
The current 30-day tourist ETA fee-waiver scheme includes a double-entry facility during the initial 30-day period.
Do I need at least six months on my passport?
Yes, the immigration authority’s general entry-visa requirements specify six months from arrival.
